History of Machu Picchu Mountains







Machu Picchu was built around 1450–1460. there were two great Inca rulers, Pachacutec Inca Yupanqui (1438–1471) and Túpac Inca Yupanqui (1472–1493. Archaeologists accepted that Pachacutec ordered the construction of the royal estate for himself after the military campaign. Whereas Machu Picchu is considered to be a "royal" estate, not have been passed down to furthur successors. It is considered that most of the people of Machu Pichu died of smallpox introduced by travelers.

Entry Schedule Guidelines







There are only 3 scheduled to Machu Picchu starts from 6 AM and For Machu, Picchu mountains starts from 7-8 AM and there is a gap of one hour in every Group entry. Also, you need to visit the bus stand as soon as possible as entry is in groups. So to visit as early as possible depends upon your arrival.





Climbing the Machu Picchu Mountain is taken into account of moderate difficulty. Admission to the whole public is allowed no matter age. Parents should closely monitor their children.





Trekking Way









The Machu Picchu Mountain trek is a moderate to challenging trek. A good standard of fitness is required to reach the mountain. During the wet season, the trek can become slippery and more challenging to walk.





From the entrance of Machu, Picchu trek is heading towards the Guardhouse. There are directions of way carved on wooden plates to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku).





 After 30 minutes you will be reached at the warden's hut, where you need to show your passport and entrance ticket to the authorities. From the entrance of Machu Picchu to the warden's hut takes approximately 40-45 minutes.





After the warden's hut the trek follows and steadily obtains altitude and the sight of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains become magnificent. There are several viewpoints and rest points along the way from where you can take pictures.





 As the trek gets closer Machu Picchu Mountains, the stairs become steeper, narrower and more demanding. After 30-45 minutes you will reach the gate and there are huts having seats.














Best Season to visit the mountains







Machu Picchu Mountains is accessible throughout the year. During the wet season (November – April) there is heavy rainfall and the trek becomes slippery and more demanding to move.
